OK, I am quote-replying to my own post here. In the edit form on my browser (Firefox 3.0), there is a hard carraige-return/newline after the word "stuff". Then, there are a few spaces on the very next line before the closing "\[/quote\]" markup. I'm not seeing the multiple lines you are claiming. Not here at least. Perhaps its a quirk with how your browser is handling this site's text entry form?
