in addition to tattypatty's excellent links, check out johnstonefitness.com - good motivation if you're starting out. they also have good forums to ask questions in (i post there as well). you're going nowhere unless you set some goals. if you don't like gyms, try forcing yourself to go just one time.
I forgot to add that Mark J sent me an excellent e-book as well. Pm him as well if you want some advice. he knows the score. And don't put too much stock into buzzwords like 'processed' and 'organic'.
