Sorry folks. They made him look like a negroid to be pc. They didn't want to contradict people who say things like "blacks are the original humans" (which was made up by black studies professors like the fool who invented Kwanza).
There is no way to tell if the cartilage in his nose was flat like Oprah's. His assumed skin tone is also pure conjecture. I'm surprised they didn't put an afro on him. Afterall, they have skull fragments (lol).
If man migtrated from Africa to Europe 60,000 years ago, this European (who lived 35,000 years ago) could have been as white as John Tesh. We don't know how long it took for Europeans to take on caucasoid features (like light skin). Likewise, we don't know that Africans of that era already had Chis Rock/burnt match complexions. Africans who lived 35,000 - 60,000 years ago undoubtedly had dark skin because of the climate/region they lived in. But that's not saying the negroid race had already developed. They might have looked like Saddam Hussein or Cheech Marin for all we know. Richard Leakey would laugh when people would ask or make assumptions about early man's skin color.
PC academics (all of whom let ideology and agenda color their conclusions) and blacks should be careful when spouting off that "the first humans were black" shit. If that were true, people could then take the logical next step and say "then evolution continued - leading to the white man".
