Tatty, Obama had the presidency handed to him on a silver platter more than anyone ever elected. Bush had an adversarial press that hated him both times he ran. Obama was totally unqualified, but got a free ride from a fawning liberal press in love with the idea of a black president. They downplayed stories like the property bribe he got from Resko, gave him a free ride on his inconsistant/incorrect statements and avoided the hard questions (Ayers, Wright, being born in Kenya, having Indonesian citizenship etc).
