Aren't these the people that gave us the Aztek? And they wonder why consumers are going elsewhere...

This is all easy for you to shrug off because you have no automotive identity in your country. Everything is an import. Our country, our industries, our "Americana" if you will, has a lot to do with these vehicles. Not only the massive amount of jobs they provided, but they became a big part of our culture.

The Aztek...who gives a fuck. How about a Yugo for chrissake, if you wanna talk about failures. Mock it if you want, GM will be missed by a lot of folks if they go under or get sold off to another country.

What about the Yugo? I don't think the Serbs were renowned for their fancy cars. America led the way in automobile culture forever. That doesn't mean it was incapable of losing its way.

I'm not 'shrugging off' anything. This will have an impact on Canada as well. I feel for the employees. The big auto makers, not so much. I think you get the impression I'm gloating; I'm not. I want American companies (and Americans) to succeed. But I think maybe the auto companies have been out of touch with American consumers for a little while...
