Yeah, there's too many fucking sissies in organized labor. But at least their unrealistic, fantasy-driven goals aren't NEARLY as bad as the hundred or so corporate machine asswipes who are taking down a half-mil each year without any intention of budging - but they'll gladly slice the labor's throat or cut jobs so as not to disturb the funds for their next C63 AMG or something similar.

My company is offering a 9% wage increase right now, even though traffic is slow. The bigger problem is that they want to cut our COLA down to 2%. The men don't want it, because they think we're going to get all sorts of arbitraries based on past practice & expected earnings because of a plan where the company cut out our profit sharing 15 months ago = $10,000 of our annual earnings. So, next year, off to mediation we'll go because the shit they're asking for probably aren't even going to be approved by a 3rd party.

I really get the feeling that 20-30 years from now the only union jobs left in the US will be government employees. Maybe truckers, unless they allow the Mexican trucking firms free access to our roads.
