A dog owner has murdered a couple who ‘humiliated’ his dog in the town of Orsha, Belarus. The man used a log as a weapon, Interfax reported on Thursday.

“The 20-year-old man, who had a criminal record, has been detained for killing a man and a woman,” a police source said.

“He was walking his dog when a drunken couple started teasing it. The suspect, who was also drunk, hit the man with a log, and, afterwards, finished off the sobered up woman,” he said.

The man said he killed the couple out of “love for his four-legged friend.”
