Quote: The only drinks worth it at Jamba Juice are the carrot, the wheatgrass, and the orange.
My first time in there, I asked for a lemon juice. They hand me my drink, I sip, and taste this ungodly plasti,c rancid sugar slop. I return it asap and inform them three must be a mix up because it taste nothing like lemons. The guy tells me it's lemonade. I didn't ask for lemonade; I asked for a small lemon juice. He tells me they don't have that.
I point to the vat of lemons next to the juicer. He tells me those are just display.
We threw away so many lemons it was ridiculous. I think fresh squeezed lemon juice is only used for one drink there.
Seeing the inner workings of a smoothie place totally grossed me out. The "juice" that they use to make the smoothies with is as thick as molasses and the fruit bins are stocked by emptying the box of frozen fruit onto the ground in the freezer and then shoveling it into buckets. The orange and carrot juice is great, but don't get ice in your juice. The ice is nasty and comes from unfiltered water.
