You've got it ass backwards. Obongo wants to seem as centrist as possible because he'd like to get re-elected in 2012 and not lose a lot Dem congressional seats in 2010. Pelosi and Reid are pulling him to the left. Giving Pelosi a free hand with the stimulus and budget was his biggest fuck up so far. The stimulus ended up being just Dem pork, half of which won't even be spent for over a year. And the budget, well, what's another trillion? LOL
