It's definitely today's #1 Democratic talking point. I think #2 would be to mention both Glenn Beck and Fox News. #3 would be to mention that Obama's tax plan only raises the top tax bracket to a level 10% below what Ronald Reagan had for most of his Presidency.
Speaking of Glenn Beck, did you notice no one ever gave him any crap when he was on CNN? As soon as he moved over to Fox he became target #2, right behind Rush Limbaugh.
I spent a little while flagging comments on the local newspaper's website as "Obscene" if they mentioned the terms teabaggers or teabagging. At first, the comments would be removed, but then they decided to put them all back. When I suggested that if Democrats were to hold a protest of corn subsidies and people referred to them as Cornholers at a Cornholing party, I got banned.

Yes, much lamer than posting about this crap on a porn board. Actually, the truly lame thing is that I live in a state that historically votes Republican, yet the local newspaper presents an almost entirely Liberal viewpoint. At first it seemed they didn't want to follow the tea-party at all, however it grew too big to be ignored (~1,500 people when the paper originally stated they expected only 100). Also, it seems the majority of Democrats who comment on the news articles are people from out of state who have started to check out Alaskan news ever since they developed their nutball rage towards Sarah Palin. But that's not lame, is it?

Most real news organizations (i.e. not Fox) saw through this as a party rally and covered it accordingly.

I'm just glad that so many unemployed rednecks, housewives, and elderly people, who don't pay much, if anything, in federal income taxes are so pissed about how "unfair" the tax structure is. Where do they think most, if not all of the "bailout" money has come from? Taxes???? I think not. It's all borrowed money (from our friends in China, Japan, et. al.). Guess they were too busy watching their Soaps to "protest" when "W" was in office (unless they love SPEND.....but don't tax government). I just find it amusing that these clowns are the 1st in line for money from FEMA when disasters strike (though they somehow forgot to get enough insurance), but bitch all the time otherwise (really looked like a bunch of wealthy people at those rallies). Just get the idiot fringe energized.....though they stand to pay less in taxes....get 'em all riled up. Same was true when they started calling the Estate Tax the "Death Tax" (like many people leave estates in excess of $2 Million). If ignorance were really bliss.....this must be the happiest country on the face of the Earth!
Just try debating with someone who gets their talking points from the media.....can't be done, because they lack any cognitive functions, and only know how to regurgitate rhetoric (which never has anything substantive to back it).
If these clowns in the media keep inciting the lunatic fringe that exists in this country (sorry the Tim McVeighs of this country didn't go away....9/11 just unfortunately diverted our....and law enforcement's....attention away from them), they can just sit back and pat themselves on their backs when a nut cracks and pulls something that costs more innocents their lives....while they continue to exist and collect their paychecks (I mean really....are Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, etc. anything more than entertainers? NO! But the lunatic fringe eats it up as if they are being serious). Lets just either privitize or disband the military, turn all of the roads over to private interests so they can turn them into toll roads, privatize the education system so people can be charged a yearly tuition (or drop out and be a greater burden on society since they will have to resort to crime as there will be no safety nets anymore), privitize the police, fire, and prisons, so only those who decide to pay the regular fees will be provided protection. Sounds great to me....then there would be no need for taxes at all basically! Of course, then people would have to pay a hell of a lot more than they do right now in taxes, in fees. Guess they would be really happy then.
Sad fact is that these clowns finally had their worst nightmare come true......a person of color now occupies the White House!
I'm just glad that most REAL media outlets dismissed them for the lunatic fringe that they were and are! I say keep up the GREAT work & come crying when the Dems are in power for YEARS AND YEARS AND YEARS to come!
