In an announcement May 18, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Coroner's office reported that Marilyn Chambers died from natural causes.
“The findings of the autopsy," according to the coroner's report, "have established the cause of death to be: effects of cerebral hemorrhage, ruptured cerebral artery berry aneurysm. Other conditions: Hypertrophic heart disease.”
Toxicology tests showed that two drugs in her system, hydrocodone and citalopram (Celexa), were "within or below therapeutic levels."
