Here is the Ourlads guide to the NFL Draft 1st rd. Ourlads doesn't rate their player like most of these mock sites. They base their evaulations on what the player can come in and do for a team now. Good example is Aron Maybin. Most mocks have him in the 1st rd but Ourlads has him as a 3rd player. Because he needs to gain more weight and add more pass rush moves to his game. Folks like Kiper Jr have him in the 1st rd because he could be the next Bruce Smith. They don't have Percy Harvin in the 1st rd because he's not a true WR or RB. I tend to agree with most of their grades.

1)DET - Stafford-QB
2)ST. LOUIS - J. Smith- LT
3)KC - A. Curry- OLB
4)SEA - E. Moore - OT
5)CLE - B. Orakpo - OLB/DE
6)CIN - A. SMith - OT

7)OAK - Crabtree - WR
8)JACK - Maclin - WR
9)GB - E. Brown - DE/OLB
10)SF - M Jenkins CB/FS

11)BUF -B. Cushing OLB
12)DEN - T. Jackson -DE
13)WASH - M. Oher - OT
14)NO - C. Matthews - OLB
15)HOU- P. Jerry - DT
16)SD - R. Maualuga- ILB

17)NY JETS- M. Sanchez -QB
18)DEN- B. J. Raji -DT
19)TBAY- Kruger - OT
20)DET- J. Laurinaitis- ILB

21)PHI-C. WElls - RB
22)MINN-Britton - OT
23)NE- A. Smith -CB
24)ATL- B. Pettigrew -TE

25)MIA- Max Unger...I know this will not make Clettus happy
26)BAL- D. H. Bay- WR
27)IND- Z.Hood -DT
28)PHI- C. Barwin -DE/OLB

29)NYG-K. Britt- WR
30)TEN- H. Nicks- WR
31)ARI- K. Moreno- RB
32)PITT- A. Mack- C/G

who has the power in the draft?

The Lions have 3 of the first 33 picks
The Broncos have 2 picks in the 1st rd
The Eagles have 2 picks in the 1st rd
The Pats have 2 out of the first 34 picks

Dallas doesn't have a pick until the middle of the 2nd rd. We need a FS or OL depth big time.

Most over-rated players IMO. These are guys that I've wathced all year.

Ray Maualuga OLB- Think of Lavar Arington. This guy is stiff in the hips and can't cover. So, he's not a 3 down OLB.

Percy Harvin WR- Doesn't have a true position in the NFL. He can help you in PR/KR and he can be a 3rd down slot guy. But he hasn't had much experience running the WR route tree. He's always injured. I don't think you give a guy that like 20-30 mil for 10-20 snaps a game.

Most under-rated players
Donald Brown RB- Three down back that can hit the hole or get to the outside. Has solid hands and a willing blocker. Doesn't shy away from contact. Can also help out on KR.

Chase Coffman TE- Pro style TE that can run block and cath the ball down the field. He can get open and down the field on any LB or SS. Solid blocker in the run game. He can stretch the field. Put up big numbers in a MIZZ offense that featured Maclin at WR. He was injured early in the year. Think of Jason Witten but bigger.

I watch a lot of Buckeye football and here are my grades on the their draft eliaglbe players

M. Jenkins CB/FS- late 1st rd. I think he's more of a FS but teams might like him at CB. Great hands, will come up in run support and make the tackle.

Chris Wells RB- Mid 1st rd. Tough RB that alays falls foward on runs. Has a wicked stiff arm. Good blocker on passing downs. Doesn't catch the ball very well. Does have some ijury issues. Runs up right and might take some kill shots on th next level. Not just a big back, can break the long run.

J. Laurinaitis ILB- tackling machine. Doesn't always make the hight light film hit but he is a sure tackler. Also good in coverage. He can play your nickel LB on passing downs. Team leader. Has player over 30+ games in the CFL. his motor never stops. late 1st rd /early 2nd rd

B. Robiskie WR- All world hands, he's a leaper. Catched anything that comes his way. Will oay out for the ball. Willing blocker on run plays. He's quicker than fast. Not affraid to go over the middle. Nice size target. Needs to get stronger, might have some issues getting off press coverage. 2nd rd

M. Freeman OLB- Solid tackler but has some issues shedding blockers. Good is pass coverage. Not a very physical LB.
early 3rd rd

D.Washington CB- This dude is a nuckle head. Has lot of off the field issues. Very fast and good in man to man coverage. Average hands and drops a lot of of balls. Boom or bust type guy
late 3rd or ealry 4th rd

A Boone LT- Big body and plays with a chip on his shoulder. Good run blocker but has issues in pass protection with speed rush guys. WILL NOT play LT in the NFL. Must be a RT. Has a lot of off the field problems.
5th rd/6th rd UFA

B. Hartline- Big WR over 6'0. Has some KR/PR abilities. Not affraid to go over the middle. Makes the tough catch but drops some easy balls. Not a good locker room guy. Should have stayed for his SR year but didn't want to play with Pryor at QB. UFA

Good work calm

As far as the Fins pick- ill have to disagree with the Unger pick though. We really are not looking for a center after we got that one from the raiders and another one in FA. OLB, CB, WR and ILB are probably the areas of greatest need. My thinking is a LB probably whichever usc player slides to them at 25.

With all the $$ involved and the Lions need to have a solid draft, I just can't see them taking Stafford #1. I think they go OL, and try to move up and get a falling QB on the cheap.

I'm a Jets fan. I wouldn't complain about Sanchez. If not him, then they nee to get a 6'1 + WR that can go deep. I think it was Don Banks at SI that had them taking some 5'11 WR. 2 possession receivers doesn't work. We had that the last couple years.

I like your description of Laurinitis, similar to one I wrote in another thread last week. I think he is the type of guy that will be the leader of a defense for a decade. I'll be surprised if he lasts to the second round like many say.
