A few posters have sent me PMs about how to screen capture after the tutorial I tried to do for wannacorndog last week. I am attempting to make things absolutely clear. I am not going to attempt to explain the mechanics of how this works, just how it is done.

(Sorry mac users, figure it out on your own).

1. When you have something displayed on your screen press the key on your keyboard labeled "PrintScrn/SysRq". It should be above your arrow keys on in the same row as your F1-12.

2. When you press that key nothing obvious will happen, you won't be notified of success or anything like that so don't just sit there tapping it waiting for a beep.

3. By pressing that key you have saved a snapshot of exactly what is shown on your screen into temporary memory. Look up the windows clipboard for a better summary. (if after you have done it and you go to copy/paste some text your screen shot will be written over).

4. Open an image editing program. For the sake of ease I use MS Paint. Start>All Programs>Accessories>Paint. Open up paint and go to the edit menu (or right-click) and select "paste".

5. You should now have your screen shot. Don't forget to save it while you are looking at it in an image editor.

The default format of a screen capture isn't very friendly for forum posting so make sure you change the file type to .jpeg (or whatever you like).

I'm not trying to start an argument but macs suck complete ass when it comes to games which makes the "everything" comment wildly inaccurate.

Somethings are easier for Mac users, I agree, but playing video games is not one of them.

Hold a second now, you're talking about vista gaming. Running a partition and a separate OS isn't Mac gaming. You are playing your games on windows.

I'm well aware that is possible. I mentioned gaming because macs are shit at it because nobody programs any games for the OS. Then you go on to tell me how it's easy to play games on windows.

We seem to agree. Macs suck at gaming.

It's not really a gaming specific plat form. But making blanket statements that everything is easier on a mac just begs the question what good Mac games came out in the last year or two?

And I mean Mac OS, not what good windows games have you been playing on mac hardware in the last year or two?

No, you're right. Mac gaming, in general, sucks. I just wanted to point out that it's pretty easy these days to have the best of both worlds. Mac safety & simplicity for everyday tasks in OS X. And a quick boot-up into Windows for games. Not the perfect solution, but I'm pretty happy with the way things are these days for Macs. I only start up into Windows for games and for some health-tracking software that's unavailable for Macs.

I'm not much of a gamer and I don't think anyone is buying a Mac for just games, but Call of Duty 4 runs fine in OSX.

Edit: Plays on PC too, conq.
