It's not that I'm overlooking the Braves. It's just that I'm a realist. Glavine's gone. Maddux is gone. Chipper is a shell of what he was and Smoltz is hanging on by his fingernails... with another team. (I think. His name keeps coming up when people talk about stopgap closers.)

McCann, Heyward and Hanson should have awesome seasons... but that's about 1/4 of what you need for a playoff run.

(Ok, Yunel ain't bad either, but he's certainly not all star material.)

Sorry dude, the Braves need to rebuild seriously for me to take them seriously. I think the Cleveland Indians may actually be in better shape this year than Atlanta... and that's not saying much.
