Baba Boey! Baba Boey!

There is a quite swoosh as the heavy door swings shut after he enters and a slight rustling of the crisp white labcoat as the learned practitioner seats himself across from you and says with a heavy heart.."You aren't gonna make it"

Looking up after delivering the "bad news", the old man is surprised to see his patient slowly stand up with a faint smile dancing across his lips and place his hand gently upon his shoulder as if to comfort the old practitioner. "Don't worry, Doc," he answered. "Some people fight the inevitable, kicking and screaming right up to the end, some people rush towards the grave as if they want it, and some people just live their lives for themselves and understand that the end will come to us all someday; and can accept that fact without bitterness or fear."

The old practitioner sat back searching for the right thing to say, unsure who gave whom the real news, but comforted in the realization that he'll probably see that patient again soon, but even if he didn't, the patient was able to accept his fate better than most of the others to whom he had given that same, trite, proclamation.
