You of all people should know that Jews (through their various organs - ACLU, NY Times etc) have always been prominent in the push to encourage atheism because it serves their self-interest as a minority. Even religious Jews often prefer for non-Jews to be atheists.

Again, I AM NOT religious. The human scum Karl Marx himself correctly pointed out that religion is an opiate for the masses. It serves several good purpose. Common religious laws/guidelines (don't kill, don't fuck your daughter, don't steal ETC) evolved over thousands of years because they are effective in maintaining societal order. The sheeple need a code to live by.
