Horrible, misbegotten books.

I read "Fountainhead" in high school due to a scholarship opportunity (no doubt, founded by right-wing knuckleheads)...

Did not submit an essay due to the suckiness of the book.

Instead, had a A+ Faulkner essay submitted to my teacher's proudest moment wherein he was 1 of 6 high school teachers from around the country flown to a yearly Oxford, MS consortium...

...he submitted my essay as an example of how a gifted high school kid could nail the complexity of Faulkner...
