The chains slightly pull the viewers attention away from them. This is probably just a personal preference but when a woman has long hair the nape of the neck is a much more intimate spot and intentionally exposing it is like an invitation. In that shot you have this wonderful nude with an attractive pose and the chains obscure your neck which draws attention away from where it should be. I understand that in the scheme of the whole set that not having the chains might throw off the continuity but for that shot the chains hurt more than they help, IMO. I know I'm being petty but without the chains and the elbow that pic would be a spectacular nude.
