On those issues with the NeanderCons that's often true.
But not on Global Warming. In every case I've seen the calls to stop the science and start policy issues have come from the left, not the right. Al Gore has stated that further debate is practically unpatriotic, something you never hear in a scientific context.
Until the modelers can produce a forecast 2-3 years *in the future*, with falsifiability, it's hard to understand why one would want to stop the scientific work, unless there is a risk that better knowledge and understanding might not be desired.
