I don't think we can attack this problem at the source for the reasons you mentioned. What we need to do--all we can do--is dramatically escalate both the quantity and quality of drugs on the scene. Fewer drugs? More drugs, I say! Solid and uncontrolled addictive habits will simultaneously boost their self-esteem while at the same time--and this is the genius of it--depleting any disposable income they may have to spend on mangling up their faces or their boobs.
