I just watched the pilot. I dunno. I think I was misled into thinking it was more of a sci-fi show and not so much a drama.

I'm going to keep checking out the first season though.

Heh, that picture was taken near my house. Why the meat market has salads or why they needed to specify that they are fresh is beyond me.

I havent seen the new one...just the Lorne Greene one.

To clarify on the original post, I've taped the series finale and will watch it in the near future.

Will also buy all of the DVDS (Seasons 1-4, "Talon" and "Pilot").

Missed a few eps of Seasons 1-2 because they were too depressing and the initial combat sequences of Pilot + the first few eps misled me into thinking that the ensuing eps would also feature a lot of explosions.

And then there was "Talon" which featured Michelle Forbes as the captain of the Pegasus and using "the Dark Side" of leadership to keep her people (at least the important, non-expendable people) safe. There was a critical scene in "Pegasus" where her second-in-command questionned her order to kill non-cooperative civilians and Michelle Forbes pulled her handgun and shot him in the head.

After "Talon" there were Seasons 3 and 4, which were all kinds of amazing...

Yeah that was easily one of the top 5 greatest series finales of all time!

Especially if you've been watching since the miniseries. Incredible, just amazing! Its the first series finales that made me go oh shit, or omg that's such a great explanation! Perfect in my mind. Hell I'm gonna go watch it on hulu again!

I loved the show, but the finale sucked. Agonizingly cliched ending. Everything was fine til they got to Earth, but from there on it just got dumb.

I just watched it. It was 'ok' I thought the first half of the season was awesome. from eps 11-17 were still good (especially the mutiny episodes) but 18 sucked and left me with trepidation. I'll rewatch them at some point I liked a lot of the ending but to me it was just kinda shoe horned in. and not too totally geek out but putting the cylons to 'sleep' (via Anders) was some shit done on star trek 20 years ago to the borg.

I actually liked some of the earth shit. sappy? sure but you got some closure on the peoples...

It was no "Six Feet Under"/"The Shield"/"St. Elsewhere"-caliber finale...

Better than "The Sopranos" though (which will always be near the bottom for copping out...).

I've never seen this show but it has been recommended to me a number of times by many different friends. I just have a very hard time committing to a new tv series considering how many there already are, how many of them are shit and how much time it takes watching them, but I've come very close a number of times if only to see Mary 'slurp' McDonnell.

The best part of the Finale was that the Humans and Cylons actually agreed to a truce. They had 'peace in our time',but Tyrol couldn't hold his shit together,broke off the download and snapped Tori's neck(I've wanted to rail Rekha Sharma ever since she was the computer geek on "John Doe"),all because Tori 'airlocked' Callie.

Of course,Callie was in the airlock because she was going to kill herself and the baby. Tori saved the kid but got rid of Callie. It wasn't even Tyrol's spawn anyway.

I did like the way Cavil went out...."Oh frak",then eats a bullet.

Any other good shows worth watching these days? I jumped into BSG after the 3rd season and had a good time watching the first 3 all at once.

Anything else worth watching a few seasons of? I check in on Lost but it's way convoluted. Dexter?
