I collected and kept tarantulas for 5 years till my neighbor evicted some tenets and bug bombed her house without telling me and killed off my whole collection, we share a common wall. I don't have much experience with true spiders but I visited one of my old enthusiast forums and at least 4 different members there(1 of whom kept and bred the species in question) who viewed images of the spider in the news story all agreed that it wasn't the "dangerous" species based on prominant physical characteristics. I trust their knowledge and experience more than anyone except a true Arachnologist. This story is just sensationalism blown out of proportion by an ignorant "expert" who cried wolf and then destroyed the evidence to cover up his own ineptitude.
