Residuals wouldn't work in porn. Do you mean every girls who has ever worked for Brazzers should be entitled to them or just the faves like Carmella Bing and such? If a porn company did that, great, but since they dont, it's not unfair. The porn companies have enough to keep track of let alone calculating what percentage traffic did Carmella bring of total traffic brought then the residual percent. Also, how would the performer know if they were giving her the right amount? Is the company going to show her the financial reports? As much as this is a business, the reality is that things operate on a shorter timeline than non-porn businesses. It's very ambitious of the performer to think long-term and want residuals, but she could apply that ambition twrds mainstream acting where that's possible. The only problem is that it's more of a long shot to become an actress on a weekly sitcom than it is to fuck on film. It's not a value or moral judgement. Just comparing the chances of success and effort needed. A girl's outlet for residuals in porn is through her own website, rather that's only her own or part of a bigger company (ala Phoenix Marie/Reality Kings). Much harder work on the girl's part than sitting back and raking in the resids, but that's just how it is. Many professions require taking someone to take their own inituative if they want more income instead of continued earnings on past labor.
