blade runner and the road warrior are both on at the same time. what one do you watch?

I had to go with Blade Runner-better story, cooler setting, Ms. Hannah, and Mel Gibson is a fundamentalist, anti-semitic asshole.

Dude!, Bladerunner without any hesitation. Its a better story with better talent all around.

I saw Blade Runner last week, so The Road Warrior. Blade Runner is better though. Speaking of Mel Gibson, does anyone remember the first time they saw the original Mad Max? I seem to remember Mel speaking with an Australian accent, yet all the versions I've seen since seem to be dubbed over with an American accent.

no brainer. while both movies were noble in imagining the future wouldn't be the typical clean and orderly, but a dirty wastescape filled with debris and despair, the similarities end there. bladerunner FTW. not because it's in my top five, or because Ridley tortured the crew by having them re-build many sets and rooms upside down to give them an edgier look, or even because it was the last "analog" sci-fi movie made, given there wasn't a single computer generated image in the film.

no, for me it was all about Vangelis, and his serenade with the Yamaha CS-80. that old goat could conquer my heart just playing twinkle-little-star on the thing. i can't think of another movie that better blurred the line between film and soundtrack. i also love that Harrison Ford called it his worst movie experience ever.
