Yep. The only other guy I ever rooted for as much as Mickey this year, was Robert Downey Jr when he was up for Chaplin. At least he lost to Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs. I like Sean Penn, but he has tried to gimmick his was to an Oscar before with I Am Sam. And the unnecessary crying scene in Mystic River, obviously pandering to the Academy. Mickey Rourke, as disturbing as he looks, put his tore his fucking heart out in that film. No other actor could have done the job as well. Half a dozen guys could have done Milk. Oh, one other thing that probably cost Mickey, they say when he was first big he was an arrogant prick and treated a lot of people like shit; those people probably didn't vote for him. Oh well, he's going to be making bank in the sequels to Iron Man and Sin City.
