That's because it their white trash/blue-collar world, having a degree (and I'm not talking about those joke 2 year degrees) is a very rare thing. To them it's a totally foreign concept, like being royalty.

In my world, almost everyone I associate with has a professional level degree (neighbors, friends I grew up with etc), so it's no big deal. Normally I'd only mix with the likes Gunker, Freestylah and Have2shit when I'm paying someone to service my car or mow my grass (etc etc).
