There never was a surplus, moron. The Clinton administration claimed a "projected surplus" (for future years if expenses were to stay the same). Rightly so, ass clown. Many liberals acted like traitors for the better part of the Iraq war. People like Keith Olberman, Cindy Sheehan and even Senate Dem leader Harry Reid were in effect rooting for the enemy. It was more important to them that George Bush looked bad than for the country as a whole to have the best outcome. They accused our troops of atrocities, acted like Abu Gharib was the norm and milked every single casualty for maximun effect.

Can libertarians like myself fairly be called traitors for objecting to the socialization of this country and standing up for our founding principles? Hell no. Our country was founded on the tradition of 'equality of opportunity', not 'equality of outcomes' (socialism). As of yesterday, our tax dollars are going to be used to reset 9 million mortgages for people who should not have been given loans in the first place. Isn't that just great? (The Dems forced banks to give "diversity loans" with the Community Re-investment Act. The resulting collapse of housing then set off the chain reaction which destroyed the economy.)
