1973 Mercedes.
The car was an utter piece of shit and it self destructed a little less than a week after I got it. I had no way of knowing that it couldn't be parked on a hill and the car ended up parking itself into a telephone pole while I was at class.

No pics, but my first was a 1968 Buick Skylark 4-Door given to me by my grandfather. He was so careful about his car, that it was like getting a brand new one.

No pics, a light blue 78 Cutlass Supreme (that was the year that Oldsmobile made the all the paint peels off the trunk lid customized edition). It was a gift from my parents for my 18th birthday. I put a rod through the short block on I-70 five miles west of Topeka on my 21st birthday.

my first was a 1967 coronet, noticed it sitting forever at a ladies house.. it was dead and she gave it to me.. put in a $11 timing chain and drove the shit outa that rusted out car:) loved the thing.. til i almost hit a cop, hmm no license... wrong plates... no insurance... no more car:(

Mine was a 1989 Buick Century which I drove for about 3 years. It was a piece of shit, but I loved that car. Nothing like the freedom that comes with your very first car.

Mine was a 9? saturn, white, ugly. I can't recall much from that period in time but it might have station wagon. After 3 weeks I ditched it at The Rose Bowl. My neighors at the time never found out who actually stole it... Not thread derailment, since it IS a car and technically my first.

My first car was a Plymouth Horizon. I actually fell in love with that make/model and had owned several of them. Economical and reliable little cars that were very easy to work on for a shade tree mechanic which I did almost 90% of the repairs on the cars at the time except for any big job that required tools or equipment I didn't own or couldn't borrow/rent.

The Mercedes I posted was not my car, mine was more of a rusted out shit box version of the same car.
I am asking posters to post a picture of the same model and year even if it isn't literally your first car in the photo.
Thanks. I'm not a car person and have no idea what makes and models look like unless I can see them...

First car: Talbot Solara 1.6 (1983 or 1981)
Looked like this, except mine was a darker blue, in worse shape and had its steering wheel on the left. It needed a lot of oil and gasoline. Driving felt a bit like driving a tank: no power assisted steering. But it had 5 gears, which wasn't all that common. Used it for 6-7 months, then it was over.

Completely generic 1985 Plymouth Colt [manual, no a/c, no radio] made by Mitsubishi. I regularly got over 40 per gallon on the highway.
I regard cars as tools, so unlike most guys "glamor"/"status" value of a car means nothing to me.
The purchase pissed off my WWII Marine vet uncle since Mitsubishi made the Zero fighter, or something.

First car given to me was a 1984 Pontiac Acadian on my sixteenth birthday. I flipped that in a ditch by the side of the highway a couple of months later.
First car I purchased was a week after the accident; 1990 Ford Tempo with 2400 km on it for $1200 cash.
Since then I've gone through a 81 LeBaron, 87 Dodge 250 extended van, 86 VW Fox, 89 Sonata, 95 Dodge Neon and the 95 Ford 150 pickup I'm currently running into the ground.

The great thing about this old metal clunker was, at age 13-14, when I was getting all the hott sluts and closet whores to push me around to class, the store and wherever else we needed TO go, in exchange for doing their homework and buying them cigs (as well as sharing my pills)....it was roomy enough where I could fit the skinnier, "Gia Jordan-esque" chicks who didnt eat right inside the wheelchair with me, like riding in one of those side cars on a motorcycle. I fingerfucked a 14 year old 5' 1" 88 pound Mafia princess at a football game when she climbed in my metal wheelchair clunker to keep warm. Her twat didnt even stink at that young, fertile age.

Don't feel bad. I haven't had a car since that one and it only lasted a few days.
I've been a car owner for all or 4-5 days. And where I live now having one would be expensive and pointless because I would probably never use it.

I know where supposed to post pics but I really dont know how, Im gonna give it a try again, I found the car I had as a gift for going to High School and turning 14. I was taught to drive at 13. Got my permit at 15 and my license at 16.
It was a 1981 but mine was red and I got it in 1980.
They bought me a brand new car for my first and I never smashed it. I had 2 accidents in my life of driving and both werent my fault, I have an excellent record and my insurance payments were always awesome.
