Wait...didn't AVN remove a number of different "news" stories after they ran the fake Kanye West porn story three weeks ago and coincidentally removed the press releases from Hush Hush (Shane Diesel's contract company) as well?

Oh yeah, and David Sullivan wrote that story and retraction too.

AVN's such a fucking joke nowadays; they didn't used to be this fucking ridiculous. I doubt they last more than a year and a half before going bankrupt or get sold off for pennies on the dollar.

AVN didn't "remove" the two press releases about Hush-Hush Entertainment inviting Kanye to star in "Blackzilla"; we never ran them in the first place. I did make reference to Nate's Hush-Hush PR under the headline "Kanye West Porn Rumor A Fake".

You claim here that I wrote both Kanye stories for AVN. In reality, I wrote only the one debunking the rumor.

I thought the whole Kanye thing was funny. To begin with, AVN.com simply reported that this gossip was circulating on the Internet... and remarked that the "bisexual Kanye" comments were likely a misquote at best. The headline was "Kanye West Graduates to Porn?" - note the punctuation.

When the Kanye camp confirmed the whole thing was bogus, I wrote and posted my story in place of the first. If I had it to do over again, I'd probably leave both stories up.

Anyway, that's the whole "pot/kettle" cover-up you seem so eager to expose. I see the point you're trying to make; had we reported the Kanye rumor as fact, or failed to attribute the source, you'd have a stronger case.

Regardless, there are plenty of things you could point out to help sustain your hard-on against AVN. (When exactly was it not "ridiculous" in your opinion?) Bashing AVN has to be the easiest sport in the entire Porn Special Olympics.

As for my Violet Blue editorial, I stand by it...including the use of David Aaron Clark's quote.

I've already heard from Gia and a dozen other readers of the piece; I'd be happy to hear opinions from Malice, Jeff, and others on XPT.

(And for the record: I figured that those gay bloggers at The Sword thought Shane Diesel was probably Shane of "old" Shane's World fame, considering the Shane's World "Name" seems to be used less and less in favor of Hush Hush...which just happened to coincide after Jack Venice's nationwide man hunt and life-time incarceration where the Shane's World name was brought up all over the media in connection with him).

So David, I'm kind of surprised to see you posting here. Not sure exactly how to go about a response as I was a bit vague on a few terms in the original post given a typical XPTer's attention span; so here goes. Guess I won't go into too many details about who said/posted what when it came to that original fake story, all the original references have been removed and Google caching doesn't seem to bring them up. Guess AVN has better programmers than I thought.


I do think its funny you quote LukeisBack to close and criticize Violet for not knowing about the Jon Dough "There's a Jew hiding in the Bushes" boxcover; the only place I'd even seen that Jon Dough/Jew story in five years was on LukeisBack.com before that retard Cindy Loftus took over and changed the coding on the entire site fucking with the archive search function. I've searched that stupid site for 20 minutes with no luck; it used to be instantaneous.

Sorry, but I've always thought AVN was full of a bunch of lazy, inept poor excuses for journalists. I did think AVN got considerably better in the last year or so (and I've mentioned that a few times here on XPT) but this Kanye fiasco just proves nothing's changed.

AVN's run a few press releases by me over the years, usually just deleting a few words and passing it off as an original; Here's one in particular. Don't worry, I find it ridiculous XBIZ posts AP stories too with one sentence changed and passes them off as their own with a new author. So yeah, AVN writers passing off stories from other sources as their own or with weird quotes is nothing new; its just the first time everyone from MTV to Kanye himself has called out on some lazy reporting.


Hell, even before that I knew AVN had to be either pretty stupid or full of shit; somehow, XPT's own favorite resident Safe-Sex lunatic Anita Cannibal talked your company into paying for her to go down to San Diego and write a story on me back in the day:

It ended up working for me in the end; seeing her write at an 8th grade level proved to me she really wasn't as smart as she was claiming to be and to probably put off the possible plan of applying to the same law school together (as we had discussed for a few weeks after meeting at AEE) as she obviously wasn't going to get into anywhere accredited. She didn't.

Yet AVN did post it and pay her for it. So take that for what its worth.

Uh, uncensored commercial-free radio out of the jurisdiction of the FCC has been what satellite radio's emphasized for five years now with the shock jocks as their main selling point. Its neither commercial free or uncensored; remember when XM suspended O and A for a month after some random homeless fuck wanted to rape Condoleeza Rice?

Both satellite radio companies looked full of shit after Opie and Anthony/XM and Stern/Sirius ripped into each other for years bashing each other (even before either of them were on satellite even)...while their companies were secretly discussing a merger to save their floundering indebted asses. Sorry, but this bullshit arguing and ego-inflating was enough for me to end my subscription.
