Ya' got me pegged pretty good here, circa fall of 1990. I don't watch this show, but that describes 99% of people coming into recovery. I posit that I stopped maturing when I started drinking alcoholically. Many others in recovery experienced the same thing.

To make it worse, the childish behavior is actually helpful as a way to get what we want (booze, etc.), so it gets reinforced. Then, in our early 30's if we are lucky like me, we have to sober up and find ourselves, that's why there are 12 steps instead of 1.
