After he finds out that his and Mary Carey's manager (David "the Jew" Weintraub) was talking about what a loser he is, he disappears and starts dropping scavenger hunt clues for the others to find him (talk about needing to be the center of attention). On the previews for the next episode, someone says "he's at Jessica Jaymes' house". There is no way it's a coincidence that Seth/Shifty had his big crack meltdown in the middle of the few weeks they were filming 'Celeb Rehab 2'. The place he choose to hit the pipe happened to be the roof of Dr Drew's facility. If there's a season 3, you know Jeff Conaway will be back as fucked up as ever. He should get a 5 year contract. As the show producer, Dr Drew obviously encourages drama/dysfunction to make good tv. How suspicious is it that Shifty let a camera crew tag along with him on a crack binge, even following him into some woods to get high. Amber Smith got used and tossed out like trash on this week's episode. Kip Brennan (hockey player - used to play for the Kings and Ducks) invited her to a party, ignored her most of the night, fucked her and kicked her out. There was a scene with her sitting on the curb in front of his house waiting for a cab (lol). You have to give the show some credit. They are really humiliating these people for our viewing pleasure. They have no concept of reality. Every decision they make is usually a bad one. Every week they are on their way to a club or restaurant since they just can't stand the thought of spending quiet time at home and confronting the ugly reality of who they are. Mary Carey is with that guy because if she was with a good guy she would end up fucking him over and treating him like a mark since she fucking hates herself. Chicks like that always choose the douche bag. The only one that seems to be trying is Rodney King and he's hardly on the show because these reality bottom feeders only focus on the negative characters. These people were never serious minded people in the first place and addiction is a small part of the problem.

Ya' got me pegged pretty good here, circa fall of 1990. I don't watch this show, but that describes 99% of people coming into recovery. I posit that I stopped maturing when I started drinking alcoholically. Many others in recovery experienced the same thing. To make it worse, the childish behavior is actually helpful as a way to get what we want (booze, etc.), so it gets reinforced. I suggested she do it privately and not talk about it publicly; her answer refusing was "I used to...but I talked to my psych too much." I told her to pitch an idea of "Porn Star Returns to College" where she could finish getting her degree (or so she claims to have started) and at least have something tangible to work towards that might teach her some responsibility or keep her sobriety on track. I really did have the feeling she missed out on her "early 20s" years by going into porn and could use the experience growing up. Granted college isn't the best place to stay away from alcohol, but I can't imagine it would have been any less successful to getting her life on track than this spectacle. Most appearances usually required some sort of radio or local interview that could turn into a stressful shit storm. I'm pretty sure she was addicted to the strip club attention. Yet her video contract with Legend at the time was for close to $80K for the year and six movies...and only had to film six or ten day days THE WHOLE FUCKING YEAR. Thats like $12,000 a day. Yet she showed up trashed out of her mind to the set, if she showed up at all. (Maybe Willie D can comment on this as he seems to know a bit more about the Legend situation) She even claimed Legend wanted to bump up to 12 movies a year and $150,000. I was shocked they would even consider that.
