I was driving home and came around a curve and there was a largish opossum in my lane. I did not brake, accelerate, swerve or waver as it darted back and forth in the illumination of my headlights. At approximately 60mph I contacted the marsupial with my right front tire with the slightest thump- not enough to trigger the traction control. I could follow it's trajectory by the thumps on the undercarriage of my truck until it passed under the right rear tire causing a slight bump in the rear end that was no more unsettling than a small belch.

I didn't even look in the rear view mirror.
