I see Tatty's point, I hope Steele brings the Repbs. back towards center, as Obama (despite protest from lefties like me) is doing on the Dems. side. The battle is on for the R., and this is a big first volley towards a pragmatic approach, but the far right entrenched in Congress ain't about to bend, and the RNC chair doesn't wield enough power to scare them at all. Interesting times ahead.

More big ups for the Dean/Obama 50 state strategy, because the Rep. electorate in the entrenched, conservative states may have to upset some incumbents to shift the party.

One good thing from the Bush years - we the people finally know what doesn't work.
