I got into it for the money... both to pay tuition (I graduated from USC in 1999, BA in Nursing,) and to pay the bills. I was a 19 year old divorced college student carrying 13 units and working 2 retail jobs (1 full time at Fred Segal, one part time for Gap Corp.) Porn was an easy way to quit 1 job, pay the bills on time, support the family AND be able to study. I graduated with honors, went to work for the County of LA for awhile, (I worked at Hudson Health Center - a clinic in Downtown LA,) for a year before going back to work in the biz. Handling burgandy urine samples for $18.00/ hour wasn't my idea of a good time...

Someone else asked the question about home ownership... I used to own a condo in Downtown LA's theater district. I sold it last year and bought a larger townhouse in the Valley. I thought I'd hate living so close to work, but I love my quiet little Jewish neighborhood.
