So what you're saying is that Obama duped more retards than Bush did?

I think it's more along the lines that Bush alienated just enough people, that people who never would have voted for a black man for President, were willing to vote for ANY Democrat over ANY Republican. I guarantee Hillary would have defeated McCain by a similar margin.

Looks to me like John's "buddy" "W" got him again....just like he did after John beat him early in the 2000 primaries, when Rove & the gang smeared his military service during Vietnam (guess John didn't drink enough whiskey or he didn't do enough blow when he was a guest of the "Hanoi Hilton" to qualify as an "American Hero"). To be honest, I used to like McCain before he started embracing "W" (even literally hugging him). That alienated me, and pushed me to Obama even before the Pièce de résistance, when he accepted Palin as his running mate. I doubt I was the only one. Though Obama clearly shared my ideolgy, I did have concerns about his being qualified for the job. However, in the end, given the two choices I had before me, Obama was by far the better choice. However, I certainly was not duped (nor am I a retard), not any more than the people who were willing to take a chance on another guy who had a very weak resume in 2000 ("W") anyway.

For better or for worse (depending on one's personal take), the disgust that most Americans had/have for "W" and the Republicans gave us our 1st black President in a much shorter time frame than I believe it would have otherwise taken.

If you don't like Obama (as he really hasn't done anything as President yet...I reserve judgement), just thank "W." You can consider Obama "W's" parting gift to the nation (I'm happy with it...but for those who aren't...).
