Paternity fraud b.s. is rampant in the states too, tp. Especially states in the pacific northwest. Games are often played where the mother gives a wrong or old address of the alleged father so his opportunity to dispute with a DNA test is never received in the mail and he ends up guilty by default, and hefty legal fees are next to attempt to dig out.

DNA testing should be mandatory for any name to be committed to a child's birth certificate as its father or mother (mothers too, in the event of surrogacy disputes, etc).

A birth certificate should be a fact sheet, not a mother's wishful thinking. Not to say every mother is a liar, but that they're given too much freedom to be if it happens to fit their agenda (finance, vengeance, avoiding embarrassment, whatever).
