Sure he's done a shitload of drugs, raped and emotionally scarred a few [ hundred ] young women, sucked a few dicks, and possibly murdered someone... but second to Alfred Kinsey, he's probably one of the most influential figures in the transformation of America's attitude toward sex in the 50's and 60's. Whether you happen to think it's for the better or not, you can't deny that the man has had a profound and lasting effect on the culture. The haters always sadden me -- even if the product they produce isn't to some people's modern tastes, the man built a global brand, and ran a 'business' that has revolved around keeping him laid and chilled out for half a century. All of us should aspire to do the same for ourselves, and for our families.

Still get a kick out of the episodes of his Playboy After Dark TV show from the 50's and 60's.

I wonder if the stroke he had there several years back limited his intellectual output, declining his ability to contribute or steer the magazine as he had in the past.
