If you or someone you know would be interested in making a proper logo for your site I think it would look better than just using text.

Logos are tricky though, it could take you as long to come up with a logo design you like as it did to design the rest of the page.

Maybe ask your artistically inclined members if they can design one for you and come up with something to give them in return.

I agree with others here that the yellow text in the title doesn't look right.

Fixing the buttons was a good move and the front page is easier to navigate.

Also the link in your signature here doesn't go anywhere.
