I don't know exactly, he is a sort of a businessman, does business-related stuff.

Maybe this device was somekind of a lock. Maybe the green light turns red after the door is closed or maybe it turns red when the door is closed AND locked? Maybe there is a timer in the thing? What if it activates the bomb from inside the door? What if it activates the bomb from outside the door? Maybe there is just a videocamera? What if it's everything above?
