Cause for a pause: Harding gets extremeDetroit News staff

This has all the makings of a bad TV reality show stunt.
Tonya Harding , aka the Human Train Wreck, will participate in the Mixed Martial Arts Extreme Cage Fight War program at The Palace on Jan. 24.
The event
marks the 15th anniversary to the day when Harding and her gang of cohorts clubbed Nancy Kerrigan on the knee with a pipe after a practice session at Joe Louis Arena for the U. S. Figure Skating Championships.
Harding later received a lifetime ban by the U.S. Figure Skating Association for the incident.
But that hasn't kept her out of the spotlight. Harding, 38, has tried and failed at numerous vocations, including launching a boxing career in 2002.
It could not be confirmed whether this is her first extreme boxing venture. Also, apparently, the rules do not allow lead pipes inside the cage.
If you are curious, tickets are $50 and $25 for reserved seats and $10 for general admission.
