Funny idea only for it's level of insanity, in that there would be zero comedic payoff- same as standing up and taking a piss on the table at thanksgiving- "Why?". Of what I've read, there's always a comedic element to a monkey stunt (ie telling Holly Randall he really needs to talk and then giving her Kurt Lockwood's number to call). Faking a cancerous cause of participation drop from good posters on the board would even make Andy Kaufman shake his head in stunned disbelief- "Why?"
