Silverlake is to wetbacks as bean is to burrito. But this is tame is you have not visited Silverlake's neighbor town Atwater Village, where thankfully I no longer live.

But Silverlake is also a cesspool of sea men lovers.

The cuff'stache originated at The Short Stop, on Sunset, it used to be a big hangout for cops of the Rampart division . Us L.A. natives call this place Cuffs. But it longer caters to police men with extracurricular activities.
