You can treat your Catholic child for mental illness.

As an outsider, you can directly protest things about the Catholic Church [and I have] and not fear that they are going to stalk you, your house or your loved one.

You can "free use" quote excepts from the Catholic Church's writings, pronouncements, dogma and rituals and criticize them without a team of lawyers shutting you down for "copyright infringement" as so many sites have been.

And, the Church will give you help and direction and you don't even have to be Catholic. And, while, sure, they'd like your money, you can participate without paying them thousands of $s.




Hell, I've no fear of most of these "cult" type groups. The Mormons, for example, they have a temple right by me. Years ago I had them in my apartment to talk. I still often will chat with them in passing on the street. I've always been welcome in their temple. I like discussing religion and the Book of Mormon with them.

I used to love when the Witnesses would come by for visits. I have many of their publications on World Religions. I think that those are very, very interesting. And, I love to debate with them.

I even have fun with the various "Jews for Jesus" people. Though, they tend to have very little knowledge and all parrot the same tired crap.

I've been known to taunt with the "Real Israelites" in my youth. You know, those black guys who yell at crowd while in their funny outfits and have these tough looking dudes with long "staffs" staring at the crowd in murder in their eyes.

But, the Scientologists? I leave them the fuck alone. Fuck, even the US Government is scared of them. Only Germany seems to be willing to take them on. Maybe that's because the Germans have seen FIRST HAND the damage an unchecked, malignant group of cultists can do to one and one's country.
