I think I read that the road to OT7 is almost $400K now and that doesn't count when they put out revised techs that require the OTs to redo some of the steps.

In COUNTLESS ways. You can leave the Catholic Church without harassment. You can treat your Catholic child for mental illness. As an outsider, you can directly protest things about the Catholic Church [and I have] and not fear that they are going to stalk you, your house or your loved one. You can "free use" quote excepts from the Catholic Church's writings, pronouncements, dogma and rituals and criticize them without a team of lawyers shutting you down for "copyright infringement" as so many sites have been. And, the Church will give you help and direction and you don't even have to be Catholic. And, while, sure, they'd like your money, you can participate without paying them thousands of $s.  Hell, I've no fear of most of these "cult" type groups. The Mormons, for example, they have a temple right by me. Years ago I had them in my apartment to talk. I still often will chat with them in passing on the street. I've always been welcome in their temple. I like discussing religion and the Book of Mormon with them. I used to love when the Witnesses would come by for visits. I have many of their publications on World Religions. I think that those are very, very interesting. And, I love to debate with them. I even have fun with the various "Jews for Jesus" people. Though, they tend to have very little knowledge and all parrot the same tired crap. I've been known to taunt with the "Real Israelites" in my youth. You know, those black guys who yell at crowd while in their funny outfits and have these tough looking dudes with long "staffs" staring at the crowd in murder in their eyes. But, the Scientologists? I leave them the fuck alone. Fuck, even the US Government is scared of them. Only Germany seems to be willing to take them on. Maybe that's because the Germans have seen FIRST HAND the damage an unchecked, malignant group of cultists can do to one and one's country.

They didn't waste much time getting the body cremated, did they? There was a large party of Scientologists visiting the Bahamas with the Travoltas. I still believe it's possible someone from the church conked the kid on the head. They would have had their bases covered even if the kid lived. They could have then blamed his low level of mental functioning on a head injury. As he became an adult, the Kawasaki heart artery disease wouldn't have sufficed any longer as a cover. Remember, there are no brain disorders that can't be cured by the teachings of sci-fi comic book writer L.Ron Hubbard.

A TMZ article today says that 3 guys (the Bahamas tourism minister, a member of parliment and the ambulance driver) were trying to extort 20 million from Travolta. He actually met with them to discuss their demands. Original reports said it had to do with releasing pics of the dead Jett, but now they're saying that's not the case. What does Travolta and Scientology have to hide? The 'official' story smells like a New Orleans whorehouse at low tide.

Look at the amount of third-world countries that are catholic. Do you really think that telling the devout to not use condoms (because god HATES it) is doing those people or the planet any good? Was the Spanish Inquisition just a big misunderstanding? Who do you think had a bigger influence on U.S. domestic and foreign policy the past eight years? Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, and their followers or Tom Cruise and his bunch?
Scientology is a scam, a sham, and a cult. But it is no worse than the Christian Right, the Catholic League, or any radical Imam in Europe.
