You buy sites that have been TGP'd to death for the traffic. You're running a site with another writer's name in the title. In the public mind, to the degree that the public either has one or uses it, it's Luke Ford's site and always will be.

I mean, it's lukeford.com. There isn't some blurry ambiguity here.

As for popularity, if you're going by Alexa, there's a coupla things about that. The first is that lukeford.com has been around since 1997 and is ranked around 18,000. xxxporntalk has been around for a year and is ranked 36,000. And then there's the matter of the Alexa graph, which seems to indicate a rather magnificent crash in the Scott Fayner era.
