Diabolicus- sometimes the Alpha Blue stuff falls way short as some of it is cut up and the picture quality isn't much sometimes but it's a way to see films you otherwise couldn't see . Alpha France stuff on the other hand is usually excellent.
I generally agree on the film versus video with you. To me though it's apples and oranges. The older stuff was more movie than fap material. The new stuff is mostly for just getting off. The features range widely from horrid to tepid.

Miele makes amazing everything. I'm in love with their washer/dryers and kitchen appliances.

We just have their vacuums. And I just realized I misspelled it. I keep waiting for our old GE dishwasher to crap out so we can upgrade to a "for real" quiet model. Mine was quiet for the time but it's still a distraction.

Before the Miele's made inroads and while Rainbows were making a run, I can remember our local Electrolux Rep telling me "I reckon an Electrolux is about as good a vacuum as a man can get". He was as lonely a salesman back then as the mythical Maytag Man. Electrolux's were the best. I still have one that doesn't even have wheels- it had skids like a sleigh. It belonged to my Grandfather.
