It's not a good investment, financially. Initial depreciation is steep, that's why late model used is the best buy. But, I choose this lifestyle, which is actually a bit more frugal than the "sticks and bricks" locked into one location.

I get about 8, but I'll only drive about 2-400 miles a month with the motorhome. The rest of the time I'm getting 20+ with my little truck. I like to stay 3 weeks or a month in one place.

Yes, the campgrounds are not exciting, that's the whole point. I walk the dog, mess around on the internet, cook, clean, go to meetings, shop, hike, explore the local area, etc. I need to slow down and relax.
