I saw her in an interview and she said something bigger has to happen in her life for the tag "former porn star" to no longer attributed to her. After porn she was getting modeling gigs but was almost sued by one when they found out who she really was. She was using a different name. They were going to sue her for fraud. So she kept the name Traci Lords, now her legal name, and said she's not hiding from her past.

I read an interview of hers and she said she and her husband, at the time, were literally run out of their neighborhood after the neighbors found out she had done porn before. Probably a bunch of jelous housewives. But porn will always follow her. She had to leave her home because people hated her for doing porn. Though she was 14 when she first started in the adult industry.

She was one of the top porn stars back then. So she was popular in her own right. If now the only reason why she is popular and still gets work is because she was an underage porn star, that novelty would have worn out 20 years ago. And if Cry Baby is the only reason why she is still getting work today, that novelty would have worn out 15 years ago. She must have something to still be getting work .... like talent. She's not Meryl Streep but so aren't 99% of the rest of Hollywood.

Jim South, who was put on trial because of Traci, says her stepfather brought her in to his studio and told Jim I'll get her into porn movies soon. Have you no compasion? She's didn't kill anyone or abuse anyone. Max fucking Hardcore gets more love on this board than a former porn star who was brought in when she was 14. She wasn't the only underage girl in porn and isn't the last. She was just the most famous underage star.
