I agree. I'd say that based on the Soderbergh project alone she has now trumped all other crossover claimants and leaves them in the dust.

Traci Lords' role in "Cry Baby" was indie underground, particularly at the time though it looks influential now, and that's about as close as anyone else has come. In my opinion, crossover status should be based on actual major JOBS rather than the highly dubious "name recognition" factor, which leaves the other claimants with some film/tv roles as extras (read "streetwalkers") and their marriages to minor celebrities.

BTW, Traci's award was an HBO/Comedy Arts Festival award. While still an award, no one really knows or cares what it is. Her 1000 Fires cd was critically acclaimed, but didn't sell all that well. Andrea True was the first crossover disco star anyway, and she had legitimate hits, along with a porn career that lasted as long as Traci's.
