No. I couldn't.

Selling I'm good at. I set records when I sold shoes in the 80s recession and did well selling IBM PCs/ATs and the initial Macintoshs in 84/85.

But, I didn't have to pay Edison Bros or Service Merchandise, who owned the stores, respectively, to be there. And, I was an employee. With unemployment, worker's comp and health care.

I'm too much of an agitator. Thus, how I became a union delegate/steward/local pres/exec board member.

I wouldn't put up with being cheated. I'd be "black balled" in no time ...

And, the first thing would be worker's comp. I'm telling you that if the right lawyer takes the right girl's case in NY or CA, that the Dept of Labor would find the dancers to be employees working on commission. Much like CA found actors to be employees of the film industry for worker's comp, etc.

See. I'm an agitator at heart. You have to be willing to be shit on to be a stripper. I'd work there a day or two tops before they knocked my teeth out.

I see your point on the "cheating" aspect of the industry in general...however that is universal element towards the adult biz....examine another racket....gambling.

You have to look at it as your always betting against the house...naturally the house then has the better odds...and then those in that side of “adult” generally lose.

Traditionally strippers aren’t that savvy and usually since it’s "there is just another club down the road" mentality...

So you don’t like the DJ at club a...

Exorbitant house fees at club b....

Most everybody is club c is straight up about things...

So you stay with c for awhile...either learn to live with the shit or go on to club d....so on and so forth. Naturally if you stay at any of them you will get regulars just like escorts…..

They are just like fanbois…..they pursue you from club to club….

It’s like some pw and their agents....

One will be with modeling a agency one week....

Then slide over to modeling b agency the next.

The only real winners are the strippers that achieved that coveted title of "feature entertainer"...get paid to dance by the club....doesn’t dance that much while there...no tip out....no fines....no bullshit....or the ones that are working in the union in San Francisco.

But they once again have dance agents....like the Continental Theatrical Agency....there’s always a pusher...pimp...dealer.

Fucked up as it is....as pretty says....it is what it is....
